Your privacy is critically important to us. At Sencargo Services LLC (“Sencargo,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), we operate the mySencargo web portal and mobile application to help customers, drivers, and authorized staff manage shipping, logistics, and cargo tracking. We operate under a few fundamental principles:

  • We do not ask you for personal information unless it is truly required to provide our services.

  • We do not share your personal information with anyone except to comply with the law, develop our services, protect our rights, or as explicitly described in this policy.

  • We do not store personal information longer than required for the ongoing operation of our shipping and logistics services, except where required by law or legitimate business compliance needs.

This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information when you use:

  • The mySencargo web portal at sencargo.com/dashboard (and its related subdomains).

  • The mySencargo Android mobile application.

  • Related customer support, payment processing, and notification services connected to Sencargo shipping operations.

By using mySencargo, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree with these terms, please do not access or use our services.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information Collected Automatically

Like most digital platform operators, we collect non-personally-identifying information typically made available by web browsers, mobile operating systems, and servers. This includes:

  • Browser or app type and version.

  • Device type, manufacturer, model, and operating system version.

  • Language preferences and referring website/app.

  • IP address (which may be used to derive approximate location).

  • Date, time, and duration of each user request.

  • Pages or screens viewed and basic interaction events (e.g., app session starts, feature usage, and error diagnostics).

Our purpose in collecting this information is to understand how users interact with our platform, maintain system security, troubleshoot technical issues, and improve overall performance.

On the mySencargo app, we also collect:

  • Push Notification Tokens: (via Firebase Cloud Messaging) to deliver shipment and route alerts you opt into.

  • Basic App Analytics: Events (such as login timestamps, permission choices, and feature usage) tied to your account when you are signed in.

  • Device Identifiers: Required to securely register your device for notifications and active app sessions.

Note for Customers: Customer accounts do not use continuous GPS tracking in the mobile application.

1.2 Personally-Identifying Information You Provide

Certain users choose to interact with Sencargo in ways that require us to gather personally-identifying information. The amount and type of information collected depend on your specific role:

  • Customers: May provide names, email addresses, phone numbers, mailing addresses (pickup, delivery, and billing), account login credentials, shipment descriptions, saved receiver contacts, payment preferences, electronic signatures, and uploaded photos/documents linked to a shipment.

  • Drivers: May provide names, email addresses, phone numbers, profile photos, driver’s licenses, medical cards, electronic signatures on contractor agreements, internal delivery notes, and proof-of-pickup photos or customer signatures captured via the app.

  • Warehouse & Booking Staff: May provide names, email addresses, phone numbers, profile information, and audit logs of activity related to processing shipments, bookings, and internal workflows.

1.3 Location Information (Drivers Only)

If you use mySencargo as an assigned driver on the Android app, and you grant location permission, we may collect precise GPS location data while you are logged in and actively executing driver features. This data is used exclusively to:

  • Show dispatch and operations staff live route progress.

  • Provide customers with accurate pickup and delivery ETAs.

  • Support optimal route planning and operational safety.

Driver location tracking is not used for customer accounts. You can control location permissions through your device settings at any time; however, disabling location tracking will limit driver features that depend on live routing.

1.4 Camera, Photos, and Files

With your explicit permission, the mySencargo Android app may access your device’s camera or photo library. This allows drivers to scan QR codes for quick shipment lookups, capture proof-of-pickup photos, and upload compliance documentation. Images are transmitted securely to our systems and stored as part of the official shipment record. We never access your camera or photos unless you actively initiate an upload feature.

1.5 Payment Information

Online payments through mySencargo are handled by secure, third-party payment gateways (such as Stripe). Sencargo does not store full credit or debit card numbers on our servers. We only receive and retain processing metadata, including:

  • Payment status (Paid / Unpaid).

  • The last four digits of the card, card brand, and expiration date.

  • Transaction identifiers and billing addresses needed for accounting and receipts.

All interactions with Stripe are governed directly by Stripe’s own Privacy Policy.

1.6 Cookies and Tracking (Website)

Our website uses cookies to keep you securely signed in, protect against Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF) vulnerabilities, remember your preferences, and analyze site traffic. You can choose to disable cookies through your browser settings, though some interactive features of the portal may cease to function correctly as a result.

2. How We Use Your Information

We collect and use your data solely to fulfill operational, legal, and security requirements. Specifically, we use it to:

  • Provide, maintain, and optimize shipping, logistics, cargo tracking, and account management services.

  • Assign and manage driver routes, warehouse processing, and customer bookings.

  • Generate receipts, shipping labels, commercial invoices, and operational records.

  • Process payments and send billing communications.

  • Send push notifications, emails, or SMS updates regarding shipment status, route updates, and security alerts (where enabled).

  • Verify user identity, prevent fraudulent activity, and maintain overall platform security.

  • Provide responsive customer support.

  • Comply with legal, regulatory, international customs, and transportation insurance obligations.

Our Commitment: We do not sell your personal information to third parties or data brokers.

3. How We Share Information

Sencargo does not disclose your personally-identifying information except under the highly restricted circumstances detailed below:

3.1 Third-Party Service Providers

We share information with trusted vendors who support our technical infrastructure and business operations, including:

  • Cloud hosting and infrastructure providers.

  • Payment processors (e.g., Stripe).

  • Push notification systems (e.g., Google Firebase Cloud Messaging).

  • Mapping and navigation interfaces (e.g., Google Maps API).

  • Transactional email and SMS delivery services.

These providers are strictly bound by contractual data-protection terms and are authorized to use your data only to perform services on our behalf.

3.2 Internal Operational Access

Authorized Sencargo employees, contractors, and internal agents are granted data access purely on a need-to-know basis to manage dispatch routing, warehouse tracking, booking validation, and customer support. All internal staff are bound by strict confidentiality obligations and subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination, for non-compliance.

3.3 Limited Cross-User Visibility

To make logistics work, limited data must be visible between parties involved in a shipment:

  • Customers can view their assigned driver’s name, profile photo, and real-time ETA.

  • Drivers can view delivery names, drop-off locations, contact numbers, and specific handling notes for their assigned stops.

We do not publish your personal contact details to the public.

3.4 Legal Compliance and Safety

We may disclose information if required to do so by applicable law, regulation, subpoena, or enforceable governmental request, or if we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect the safety, property, or legal rights of Sencargo, our users, or the public.

3.5 Business Transfers

In the event of a corporate merger, acquisition, restructuring, or sale of company assets, user data may be transferred to the acquiring entity. Any successor will continue to be bound by the data protections established in this Privacy Policy.

4. Data Retention

We retain your personal information only as long as your account is active or as strictly required to meet legal, tax, customs, insurance, and audit obligations.

When you delete your account using the in-app “Privacy & your data” self-service tools, we delete or anonymize your profile metrics and user-uploaded media files where structurally feasible. Please note that historical shipment manifests, completed payment ledgers, and operational signatures are retained in a secure, de-identified format to maintain the integrity of our historical freight and tax records.

Driver location history is kept for a brief operational window to resolve routing discrepancies and is then permanently purged or aggregated into non-identifying mileage statistics.

5. Your Choices and Rights

Depending on your geographic location, you may possess specific legal privacy rights. Regardless of location, mySencargo provides all users with comprehensive data control tools:

  • Access & Correction: You can review and update your profile information directly inside the portal.

  • Data Portability: You can export a structured copy of your personal data by navigating to Profile → Privacy & your data.

  • Account Deletion: You can permanently close your portal account and request data purging via Profile → Privacy & your data.

  • Device Permissions: You can revoke app access to your camera, push notification tokens, or precise location at any time via your Android system settings menu.

To exercise these rights or file a specific request under regional frameworks (like GDPR or CCPA/CPRA), please contact us at ship@sencargo.com. We will verify your identity before releasing or deleting any data records.

6. Security and Protection Measures

We employ industry-standard technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect your data from unauthorized access, leakage, or modification. These safeguards include:

  • Enforced Encryption: Full HTTPS / TLS encryption protocols for all data traveling between your device and our servers.

  • Strict Access Control: Restricting employee data access exclusively to operational necessity.

  • Secure Infrastructure: Isolated storage servers for sensitive legal paperwork, compliance data, and operational imagery.

  • Authentication Safeguards: Robust hashing and security policies protecting account login mechanisms.

Please remember that no method of online transmission or digital storage can be guaranteed 100% secure. You share a responsibility in this protection by securing your mobile device and keeping your account passwords strictly confidential.

7. Children’s Privacy

The mySencargo platform is strictly intended for use by commercial entities, logistics professionals, and adults. We do not directed our services to, nor do we knowingly collect data from, children under the age of 13. If you discover that a child has mistakenly provided us with personal information, contact us immediately and we will delete the data from our active databases.

8. International Data Transfers

Sencargo Services is based and operated within the United States. If you choose to access our platform from regions outside of the U.S., please note that your information will be transferred to, stored, and processed in American data centers. By utilizing our services, you understand and consent to these international data transfer practices.

9. Third-Party Links

Our digital platforms contain interactive links to external services, including Google Maps for route navigation, Stripe for secure checkout, and Google Sign-In protocols. Sencargo does not control and is not liable for the privacy architectures of third-party platforms. We highly recommend reviewing the individual privacy statements of those providers before interacting with them.

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy

Sencargo reserves the right to modify this Privacy Policy at any time. When updates occur, we will adjust the “Last Updated” timestamp at the top of this document. For material updates that significantly affect your data handling rights, we will issue a prominent alert within our web portal, push an announcement through the app, or email you directly.

Your continued use of mySencargo after an update becomes active represents an explicit acknowledgment and acceptance of the revised policy terms.
